Jeffery Reed, President/CEO of Down Home Entertainment Group was born and raised in Quincy, Florida and has resided in Atlanta, Georgia since 1999.  After serving twenty years in the United States Army, Jeffery retired and decided to pursue an interest in Gospel Music that has now spanned over thirty years.

After being raised by a Minister mother, Jeffery has always loved the Gospel and always wanted to pursue a musical legacy. His love for music started at the early age of 14.  Jeffery started with playing the piano, drums, trombone, and guitar.

He started Down Home Entertainment Group in 2004. Jeffery has attended numerous conferences with some others in the gospel music industry: Pastor Darryl Parker (CEO Godson Records) and Mr. Cecil Brown (publisher of Gospel USA Magazine).

Jeffery has written and produced the Gospel CD “You’ve Been Good” with breakout artist Sondra Germany featuring The Voices of Hope. He produced the CD with one goal in mind, to bring beautiful inspirational music to God’s children, who also love the Gospel like he does.  He wanted his songs to present a positive image, and to reach people of all ages and walks of life. He also writes poems and is the process of writing his book “Poems from the Gospel a collection”. God has given him this opportunity he will use it for his good.

Jeffrey is married to wife Eleanor, a nurse, and has two daughters Anetra and Kelly Reed.
